Gast Architects is a signatory to the AIA 2030 Commitment of migrating toward zero net energy and zero net carbon buildings. All of our projects utilize energy modeling to identify opportunities for greater thermal efficiency and overall carbon intensity reduction. Our recent projects include site based solar power & heat generation, water storage, and where appropriate, building envelope and site strategies to prevent the spread and damage from wildfires. We consider resilience to natural disaster to be a major component of sustainability in the 21st century.
