In addition to leading the practice, Todd is a Principal Project Planner for UCLA Capital Programs, specializing in sustainable design and construction, from planning through post-occupancy. Todd has guided many campus projects to certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Rating System, including 13 Gold and 7 Platinum. Active in UC-wide working groups for Green Buildings, Operations, Energy Benchmarking, and Sustainability, Todd also serves on the UCLA Sustainability Committee and Task Forces. Since 2012, he has been a Student Action Research Team stakeholder in the 'Education for Sustainable Living Program' of the UCLA Institute for the Environment and Sustainability.

Fire Resiliency Experience: Yes
Fire Resiliency Experience Details:

We have extensive experience in fire-resilient research and design. Both Principals have worked on Woolsey Fire rebuild projects and projects in Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones, including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Mono Counties. Recently, the practice garnered an AIA Los Angeles design award for a fire-safe standard plan/standard site plan prototype for a single-family residence with an ADU and JADU. As faculty at UCLA, both Principals are engaged in teaching devoted to real-world impact across a range of building technologies and typologies.

In early 2025, Mohamed began serving as Co-chair of the AIA Los Angeles Wildfire Task Force, where he helped shape fire-resilient design-related webinars for members of the profession and the broader public, liaised with governing bodies, and interfaced with the Palisades Recovery Coalition.
