We’ve been designing “green” for decades. These concepts aren’t new and usually save money in the long run. Most of our buildings are passive solar and some have active solar features as appropriate. Also, some of our buildings utilize underground spaces and/or planted roofs.

Many people think that “green” design has to do only with what materials are used. This is shortsighted. While certain materials may have direct environmental benefits (low VOC paints, etc.), a much more important factor is how the materials are used together. It’s very possible to make an environmentally unfriendly building with “green” materials, but with a little knowledge and skill, one can create a “green” building using common materials. We keep abreast of the latest developments in materials, so our clients have both innovative materials and good design.
